After receiving medical advice to undergo a treatment to mitigate back pain the plaintiff suffered severe bodily injury due to said procedure. After finding in favor of plaintiff the final judgment awarded was $9,660,000 while the original offer from defendants counsel was $100,000. The trial lasted 11 days with jury deliberation of 2 days and a final vote of 11-1.
